Job summary

Allied Universal Technology Services is hiring an Embedded Service Technician to service access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems at client sites. You will troubleshoot, repair, configure, and test equipment while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires strong problem-solving, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently or with teams. A valid driver's license and physical capability are essential for on-site work.

Qualifications

• - High school diploma or equivalent
• - Valid Driver’s License with driving history requirements
• - 3+ years in electronic security field
• - 2+ years servicing enterprise access control & video systems
• - State licensing or ability to obtain
• - Proficient with multiple systems and ticketing platforms
• - Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, electronic, and networked security systems
• - Knowledge of Windows OS, networking, IP addressing, and server/client environments
• - Excellent written and verbal communication
• - Ability to work independently and in teams to meet deadlines
• - Proficient with hand & power tools; available for on-call
• - Lift up to 50 lbs; work on ladders

Responsibilities

• - Provide on-site service, maintenance, and diagnostics for access control and video systems
• - Respond to client service requests and outages
• - Upgrade firmware, patches, and database maintenance
• - Assist with system commissioning and device programming
• - Document issues and resolutions in ServiceNow
• - Interpret schematics and CAD drawings for low-voltage work
