Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks a skilled Electronics Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and validate complex electronic systems for defense and intelligence applications. You will assemble PCBs, perform functional tests with advanced instruments, and work with engineers on prototype builds.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or higher security clearance.
• IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications preferred.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.
• Experience soldering, rework, and assembly of cables, harnesses, and PCBs.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting analog and digital circuits.
• Awareness of ESD procedures and handling of sensitive electronics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic systems and components.
• Perform functional testing using oscilloscopes and meters.
• Assemble and modify PCBs, cables, and harnesses to specification.
• Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Install, configure, and maintain electronic equipment in various environments.
• Document test results, repairs, and configuration changes.
• Support prototype builds and design updates with engineers.
• Follow IPC/ISO quality and safety standards.
