Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Clayton, NJ is seeking a maintenance professional responsible for the upkeep, repair, and enhancement of electrical and control systems in a food manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes documentation, safety, and adherence to GMP and company procedures.

The candidate will diagnose issues, train Electro-Mechanics, and perform both on-site and occasional off-site maintenance while working closely with Mechanics and supervision to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• AS/AAS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience reading electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control system documentation.
• Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software and preventive maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current documentation for all electrical and control systems.
• Assist mechanics in diagnosing electrical or control-related issues.
• Provide training and coordinate activities of Electro-Mechanics across shifts.
• Occasionally work offsite to support equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ensure production equipment is maintained according to the production schedule.
• Perform preventive, scheduled, or corrective maintenance on process control systems (networks, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics).
• Keep accurate records per work orders and job systems.
• Travel for parts procurement, training, or additional responsibilities.
