Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Clayton, NJ is seeking an on-site maintenance electrician to support food manufacturing equipment. You will maintain electrical and control systems, document work, and collaborate with mechanics to diagnose issues.

The role covers preventive, corrective, and scheduled maintenance on batching and continuous processes, including networks, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, and utility systems. Occasional travel may be required for parts and training.

Qualifications

• AS/EA degree or equivalent in electrical/electronic engineering.
• Experience with electrical/control systems in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, instrumentation drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current documentation for electrical and control systems.
• Assist mechanics in diagnosing electrical/control issues and coordinate activities.
• Provide training and oversee Electro-Mechanics across shifts as needed.
• Occasionally travel to support offsite equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform preventive, scheduled, or corrective maintenance on process control systems and related utilities.
• Keep accurate records of work orders, backlog, and job assignments.
