Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Clayton, NJ is seeking a maintenance electrician/electro-mechanical technician to uphold electrical and control systems across manufacturing lines. The role emphasizes documentation, safety, and preventive maintenance to ensure continuous production.

You will diagnose, repair, and coordinate across shifts, working with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi platforms, and occasionally support off-site equipment issues.

Qualifications

• AS/AAS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• Background in complete machine and electrical control system installation.
• Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems design documentation.
• Reading and interpreting control system drawings including P&ID is required.
• Proficient in documenting maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current documentation for all electrical and control systems.
• Assist mechanics in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues.
• Coordinate and train Electro-Mechanics across shifts as needed.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on batching and continuous process control systems.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections safely while equipment is running.
• Record work orders and maintain accurate backlog records.
