Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support a portfolio of commercial, industrial, public works, and medium-voltage electrical construction projects. This on-site role is based in Brea, CA, and offers an opportunity to develop accurate cost estimates, build competitive bids, and contribute to pursuit strategies with a seasoned team.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting construction drawings, specs, and documents to produce takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Experience with Accubid or ConEst estimating software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed labor, material, and equipment cost estimates for commercial, industrial, public works, and medium-voltage electrical projects.
• Review blueprints, specifications, RFPs, and project documents to develop take-offs and bills of material.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and procurement teams for pricing and quotes.
• Develop bid proposals, support prequalification requirements, and participate in job walks and pre-bid meetings.
• Maintain estimating databases, bid registers, and provide value engineering recommendations to improve competitiveness.
