Job summary

Clark Pacific in Lubbock, TX is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to support the implementation of EHS policies across operations. You will work with EHS, Manufacturing and Field teams to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations, focusing on behavior-based safety to improve productivity and safety.

The role requires hands-on site visits, incident investigations, data collection, and collaboration with leadership on safety projects.

Qualifications

• Min 3 years in an Environmental Health and Safety role preferred.
• Min 3 years total manufacturing and/or construction experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or equivalent heavy manufacturing/construction experience preferred.
• EMT Card required.
• Certifications CHST, OHST, STS, STS-C preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with staff, projects, and proprietary information.
• Conduct regular yard/plant/job site visits and audits.
• Assist with incident investigations.
• Collect and enter data to prevent injuries and improve safety.
• Aggregate data and complete draft reports.
• Coordinate with EHS Management and operational leaders on safety projects and initiatives.
• Support COVID contact tracing as needed.
• Review and coach stakeholders on JHA, PTP, rigging/pick plans, and fall protection.
• Other duties as assigned.
