Job summary

BSI Consulting Services in Hamlet, NC is seeking an Associate Safety Consultant to join a team of Construction EHS professionals. The role focuses on leading safety initiatives, performing field audits, coaching workers on OSHA and client requirements, and driving continuous safety improvements on large-scale projects.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 5+ years of construction safety experience, and strong knowledge of OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience (7 years if no degree).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and ability to apply regulations in dynamic construction environments.
• Willingness to obtain safety certifications such as STSC, CHST, or CSP.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to large-scale construction projects by initiating and attending meetings, performing site walks, and ensuring contract requirements are in place.
• Perform construction safety field audits and data collection using systems such as Predictive Solutions and ConstructSecure.
• Analyze worker health and safety data for trends.
• Educate stakeholders on EHS requirements and best practices.
• Lead incident investigations to drive future improvement and safe practices.
• Lead trainings and meetings with client and trade partner EHS professionals.
• Develop training programs and slide decks for construction EHS topics.
• Lead meetings as the EHS representative.
• Collaborate with the larger EHS team to build programs.
