Job summary

Nscale is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead on-site programs at our Madison, NC data center. As primary EHS leader you will implement and maintain compliant safety, health, and environmental systems in coordination with operations, security, facilities, and a colocation partner.

You will drive incident investigations, training, audits, and continuous improvement, supporting regulatory compliance and a strong safety culture across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of EHS experience in data centers or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS management systems.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain site EHS programs, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Conduct inspections, audits, risk assessments, and workplace evaluations.
• Track corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Lead incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action processes.
• Support emergency response and post-incident reviews.
• Deliver EHS onboarding and training programs for employees and contractors.
• Track and analyze EHS performance metrics and generate reports.
