Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an EHS leader to supervise plant safety and environmental programs at a facility in Puerto Rico. The role focuses on compliance with OSHA, EPA, EQB, PRASA, and other regulatory bodies, while driving continuous improvement in waste management and environmental performance.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering (Environmental preferred), at least 5 years in EHS, and strong English/Spanish skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Environmental Engineering)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in EHS.
• Master degree preferred.
• Experience leading small teams.
• Computer knowledge (MS Office).
• Advanced level of English and Spanish
• Knowledge of EHS laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operators and on-site waste contractors.
• Assign work plans and review compliance.
• Evaluate and implement opportunities for improvement.
• Implement safety and environmental policies per OSHA, EPA, PRASA, etc.
• Represent organization in environmental groups and programs.
• Train managers and employees in site practices, waste management, and chemical handling.
• Maintain environmental files and records per government requirements.
• Interpret data to ensure regulatory compliance and advise management.
