Job summary

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) seeks an experienced System Administrator - Intermediate to support the INSCOM C2IO program onsite at Fort Belvoir, VA. You will install, troubleshoot, maintain, and integrate hardware and end-user devices across the headquarters element, generating reports and fulfilling service requests.

Role requires TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8570.1-M IAT II certification, ITIL knowledge, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of IT related experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance (listed in DISS).
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification or greater.
• Computing Environment certification or must be obtained within 90 days.
• Basic knowledge of ITIL framework and processes.
• Basic knowledge of desktops, laptops, printers, related components.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure technologies.
• Ability to work on projects with little or no supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds repeatedly to complete work.

Responsibilities

• Provide AESMP ticket management support.
• Support AUDS and manage AUDS roles using PIM.
• Coordinate with Tier III IT Support to complete tasks.
• Configure and install new equipment across network enclaves.
• Ensure proper configuration and performance of equipment.
• Integrate desktop workstations and related equipment across the network.
• Load approved OS images on systems.
• Troubleshoot basic connectivity for new installs or replacements.
• Conduct life-cycle site surveys, planning and design for small projects.
• Perform quality control to verify standards compliance.
• Assist in installation/de-installation and relocation of desk phones.
• Develop materials lists and installation timelines.
• Update wiring, circuits, and electrical diagrams.
• Complete tasks based on severity and workflow.
• Document project status and update tickets daily.
• Communicate clearly and maintain professional rapport.
• Participate in or lead minor projects and day-to-day operations.
