Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for a Dispatcher in California. The role involves planning delivery schedules, optimizing routes, and resolving delivery issues with customers.

You will ensure invoices and loads are correct before departure, while recording vehicle times and maintenance records during on-site shifts. The position requires 2–5 years of related experience, knowledge of the local area, and familiarity with Descartes.

Qualifications

• Geographic area knowledge required or preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
• Experience using Descartes routing software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans delivery schedules and optimizes delivery vehicle routes.
• Addresses delivery issues with customers and provides resolution.
• Ensures that the invoice and load are correct prior to departure.
• Records all in and out times of vehicles.
• Maintains vehicle maintenance and repair records.
• Records availability status of vehicles.
