Job summary
The H-J Family of Companies seeks a Design Project Engineer to collaborate with Engineering, Production and Maintenance to design and develop machinery, tooling, and fixtures that improve throughput, safety, and quality in manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on problem solving, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to manage projects from concept through implementation, always aligning with production needs and constraints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required (Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing or related).
- Experience with manufacturing design and 3D CAD tools preferred.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes, machining, automation, and PM is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop machinery, equipment, tooling, and fixtures using 3D CAD to improve safety, quality, throughput and efficiency.
- Create 3D models, drawings, and documentation to support manufacturing and project implementation.
- Lead projects from concept through fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Maintenance to resolve operational challenges.
- Communicate project requirements, plans, and milestones across departments.
