Job summary

Artha Nexgen in Texas is seeking an Onsite Manufacturing Project Engineer to drive throughput improvements, reduce downtime, and provide hands-on engineering support, CAD-driven designs, and coordination with offshore resources.

The role involves prototyping, testing, collaborating with local vendors, and leading multiple projects with weekly updates, while ensuring standard work and training processes align with plant needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Industrial engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or process improvement roles.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixture design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to deliver solutions under tight timelines.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for cross-functional and global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements for improvement projects and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Obtain CAD models, drawings, and specifications for tools and fixtures.
• Prototype and test designed solutions to validate effectiveness.
• Work with local vendors to manufacture and implement solutions.
• Provide engineering input for custom plant solutions and NPIs.
• Act as primary liaison between client teams and offshore engineers and manage multiple projects.
• Provide weekly progress updates and status reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure effective communication across time zones with offshore teams.
• Analyze downtime causes and propose solutions to reduce downtime.
• Support initiatives to improve standard work and on-the-job training processes.
