Job summary

Flux Resources is seeking a Design Manager to join one of our clients in the Gary Indiana area. This is a Full-time direct hire opportunity. This position pays in the $150,000 - $270,000 range and will be on-site in Gary, IN.

The Design Manager leads design integration with construction on design-build projects, coordinating architectural, structural, MEP, and specialty systems. You will liaison between design teams, construction teams, the owner, and trade partners, manage design deliverables,

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field with 10 years of relevant design, construction, or design-build experience, including 2 years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of architectural, structural, MEP, and specialty systems into a cohesive, constructible design.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination meetings and manage resolution of design conflicts.
• Oversee design deliverables to ensure alignment with project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Ensure design packages are complete, coordinated, and issued in accordance with project milestones.
• Act as primary interface between design teams and construction teams.
• Collaborate with preconstruction and field teams to incorporate constructability, phasing, and logistics into the design.
