Job summary

University of Maryland Global Campus seeks an on-site Adjunct Faculty member to teach Data Science at the Dorsey Station campus in MD. The role centers on engaging, project-based instruction within the Data Analytics program and guiding adult learners both online and in person.

Required qualifications include a Master’s degree in Data Science or a related field, plus 3–5 years of data analytics experience and the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse students.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Data Science, AI or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Experience teaching within online higher education settings.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in Data Analytics, Data Science and AI

Responsibilities

• Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed.
• Guide students in active collaboration and application of learning in problem- and project-based learning demonstrations.
• Provide rich and regular constructive feedback using rubrics for assessment of student work.
• Demonstrate current subject-matter expertise and help students connect concepts across the program.
