Reboot Monkey in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to join our on-site team. You will work on mission-critical infrastructure, perform hardware installations, racking, cabling, and issue troubleshooting.

The role requires 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure, strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, fiber), experience with Dell/HP/Supermicro servers, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs. On-site presence and professional English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Professional communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
