Job summary

Reboot Monkey seeks a Data Center Technician in CLACKAMAS, United States, for a freelance, on-site role supporting critical infrastructure at world-class data center facilities.

You will install, configure, maintain server and network equipment, perform structured cabling, monitor power and cooling, and respond to incidents. This position requires 3+ years in data center operations and strong cabling and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber).
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
