Job summary

Reboot Monkey seeks an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance work in Chattanooga, TN. This on-site role supports mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities, with hourly pay of $25-35 depending on experience and project complexity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, fiber).
• Experience with Dell, HP, or Supermicro servers.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on-site in raised floor environments.
• Professional communication in English; own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber).
• Rack, stack, and label servers.
• Make cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
