Job summary
Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician in Rapid City to support critical infrastructure in a full-time, on-site role. You will install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment, with emphasis on structured cabling and environmental monitoring.
A track record of 3+ years in data center operations and strong documentation is required or preferred. Ideal candidates will have experience with rack and stack operations, power distribution and UPS systems, and certifications such
Qualifications
- 3+ years of data center operations experience.
- Expert cabling skills with Cat6/6a and fiber.
- Strong documentation and communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
- Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
- Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
- Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
- Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
- Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
