Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our Beltsville facility. This full-time, on-site role focuses on maintaining critical infrastructure, server and network equipment, and structured cabling.

The position requires hands-on experience with power, cooling, and asset management in a fast-paced data center environment. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in data center operations, strong problem-solving skills, and relevant vendor or DCIM certifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber).
• Understanding of power distribution and UPS systems.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Experience with rack and stack operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
