Job summary

Albireo Energy, LLC is seeking Field Automation Engineers to support mission-critical data center projects in Frederick, Maryland. This on-site role welcomes engineers at all levels to contribute to BAS/EPMS programming, PLC configuration, SCADA development, commissioning, and system integration on complex automation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience in a related field.
• 0+ years of experience in building automation, EPMS, controls engineering, or related disciplines.
• Understanding of BAS, PLC, SCADA, and automation system fundamentals.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot BAS control logic for mechanical, electrical, and process systems.
• Configure, commission, and support PLC-based monitoring and control systems.
• Build, configure, and support SCADA dashboards, graphics, and operator interfaces.
• Perform point-to-point checkout, I/O verification, and functional testing.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integrated systems testing (IST) activities.
• Assist with bringing BAS, EPMS, and automation networks online.
• Troubleshoot communication and integration issues involving field devices and control systems.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, commissioning agents, project managers, vendors, and owner representatives.
