Job summary

Albireo Energy, LLC is seeking an Automation Design Engineer to design, develop, and deliver automation and monitoring systems for critical data center projects. You will work on EPMS, BMS, and SCADA, from engineering design to commissioning, including AutoCAD drawings and PLC programming.

You will report to the Engineering Manager, collaborating with design leads, project managers, and field teams. The role requires ownership of design scopes, problem solving, and leadership growth, with

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing automation for EPMS/BMS/SCADA.
• Strong drafting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce, revise, and maintain design drawings in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Keep design packages current throughout the project lifecycle with RFIs and field redlines.
• Coordinate drawing updates with device lists, BOMs, and specifications.
• Develop control system architectures and sequences for EPMS, BMS, and SCADA.
• Configure and develop SCADA/HMI applications in Ignition.
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC logic (AB Studio 5000).
• Integrate field devices using Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, EtherNet/IP.
• Prepare submittal packages for customers and field teams.
• Follow Autodesk Build workflows and contribute to startup standards.
• Travel 25–50% with heavier commissioning periods.
