Job summary

Ascent, LLC is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to support the operation of a data center facility in Voorhees, NJ. The role involves field coordination, maintenance of critical equipment, and coordination with subcontractors to ensure uptime.

The ideal candidate will assist in managing electrical/HVAC systems, life safety, and building controls, with strong organizational and communication skills to report issues and support cost-saving uptime initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Critical Facilities Technician or related role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; technical degree preferred.
• Knowledge of construction planning, mechanical or electrical systems, building controls, fire systems, and security systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in on-site field coordination, supervision, and project management support for operation of a critical facility.
• Assist in management of mission critical equipment to operate and maintain the facility.
• Assist in management of systems and physical environment integration (life safety, mechanical, plumbing, and power).
• Report discrepancies and trends to supervisors and clients.
• Assist in scheduling and procedures for preventative and emergency maintenance of building systems.
• Oversee maintenance schedules and providers; coordinate subcontractors.
• Develop and update standard practices for critical facility operations and equipment.
• Troubleshoot emergencies, equipment problems, and technical issues; organize resolutions.
• Provide field technical support and vendor oversight.
• Complete daily inspections and regular scheduled maintenance.
