Job summary

E Tech Group in San Jose, CA seeks an On-Site Construction Manager to oversee installation phases of Data Center projects. You will work with General and Subcontractors, report to the Lead PM, and ensure deadlines and scope expectations are met with proactive communication.

The role requires a BS Engineering or equivalent, 10 years in construction management, and strong skills in project cost control, scheduling, and subcontractor management.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering degree or equivalent educational background.
• 10 years in project and/or construction management environment.
• Proficient in project and construction management principles, methods, and tools.
• Experience in industrial controls for data centers, building management, or similar.
• Experience in building construction and managing subcontractors.
• DNA of collaboration and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Be in charge of the subcontractor scope and schedule for installation of a Data Center project.
• Deliver the installation portion on time and under budget as defined by the Lead PM.
• Communicate between client and subcontractors with the Lead Project Manager.
• Develop the project labor resource plan and quality control plan to meet schedule and budget.
• Maintain scope compliance, obtain Change Orders, and identify additional opportunities.
• Develop and maintain project cost budgets, forecasts, and cost at completion.
• Collaborate with project team to meet milestones on schedule and budget; escalate risks.
