Job summary

Meade is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer Lead to provide on-site technical leadership for commissioning of data center facilities. This role oversees L0–L6 testing, ensures safety, quality, and timely handover.

Reporting to the Director of Commissioning, you will mentor engineers, coordinate with contractors and clients, and ensure compliance with NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, and IEEE on fast-paced projects. Weekly travel is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data center or mission-critical commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site technical authority for L0–L6 commissioning of MEP systems.
• Translate Commissioning Plan into site-specific test plans and tests.
• Lead testing, IST, startup, energization and turnover activities.
• Own site commissioning schedule and milestones.
• Troubleshoot complex issues during commissioning and startup.
• Mentor junior Commissioning Engineers and field staff.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors and clients to witness testing and resolve conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE and safety requirements.
• Maintain commissioning logs, reports and documentation.
• Manage site resources within budget and report progress.
• Promote a strong safety culture on site.
• Capture lessons learned to improve processes and standards across projects.
