Job summary

Meade is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer Lead to provide on-site technical leadership for commissioning mission-critical data center facilities. You will lead all levels of commissioning (L0–L6), mentor engineers, and coordinate with contractors to ensure safe, high-quality delivery.

The role requires weekly travel to job sites, deep MEP knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• CCP or CxA certification or equivalent.
• PE license or candidacy preferred.
• 4+ years leading L0-L6 commissioning in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Experience with NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site technical authority for full commissioning (L0–L6) of MEP systems in data centers.
• Translate high-level plans into detailed site execution and test scripts.
• Lead daily commissioning activities, IST, startup, energization and turnover.
• Maintain site commissioning schedules, milestones and test objectives.
• Mentor junior engineers and field staff on testing methods and safety.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors and clients to witness testing and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with Meade standards and safety requirements.
