Job summary

EXOS is hiring an on-site Cybersecurity Lead for our Evansville, Indiana client environment. You will be the day-to-day security authority, guiding analysts and engineers, and translating risk into funded business actions.

You will own the security roadmap, lead a small EXOS cybersecurity team, and coordinate with SOC/MDR partners to ensure timely detections, responses, and improvements across the environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience across operations, incident response, or program leadership.
• 2+ years of leading people, projects, or a security program.
• Experience with enterprise identity and endpoint security controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication for executive audiences.
• On-site Evansville, Indiana work five days a week with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site cybersecurity lead for the Evansville client, managing daily security operations.
• Own the security program roadmap, translating risk into funded, business-facing plans.
• Lead and coach the EXOS cybersecurity team with growth paths and priorities.
• Coordinate incident response activities, containment, and remediation across endpoints and identity.
• Collaborate with EXOS SOC/MDR partners to improve detections and playbooks.
• Plan security projects, tooling rollouts, and hardening initiatives with timely handoffs.
• Develop client-facing security narratives, reports, and post-incident analyses.
• Maintain awareness of CIS, NIST CSF, ISO standards and CJIS-related requirements.
