Jacobs in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an On-Site CSA Engineer to represent civil, structural, and architectural disciplines throughout construction. You will facilitate communication among the Owner, Contractor, and design teams, review field conditions, resolve design issues, and ensure work aligns with the Contract Documents.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field, and 10+ years in large-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects; or 5+ years supporting hyperscale data centers.
• Strong understanding of CSA systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in an active construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site CSA design and construction contact.
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, compliance, and constructability.
• Coordinate CSA issues between field teams and design consultants.
• Evaluate field conditions and issue design clarifications and revisions.
• Support responses to RFIs, submittals, substitutions, and field inquiries.
• Review installation activities for conformance with design intent and specs.
• Identify deficiencies, deviations, and quality concerns.
• Participate in punch walks, inspections, testing, and turnover.
• Provide weekly site observation reports with progress, risks, issues and recommendations.
• Support BIM coordination, mockups, and site validation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, commissioning, and Owner representatives to resolve issues.
• Proactively identify project risks and mitigation plans.
• Establish clear communication and escalation among stakeholders.
