Job summary

Jacobs seeks an On-Site CSA Engineer for a project near Baton Rouge, LA. The role covers on-site supervision of CSA-related civil, structural, and architectural activities during construction, ensuring work aligns with contract documents and design intent.

The ideal candidate has a Civil/Structural/Architectural background with 10+ years in large-scale construction or 5+ years in hyperscale data centers, and demonstrates excellent communication and independent work capabilities on active sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects; or 5+ years supporting hyperscale data centers.
• Strong understanding of CSA systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in an active construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site contact for CSA design and construction matters.
• Perform daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, and constructability.
• Coordinate design issues between field teams and design consultants.
• Evaluate field conditions and facilitate timely design clarifications and revisions.
• Support responses to RFIs, submittals, and field inquiries.
• Review installation activities for conformance with design intent and project specs.
• Identify and communicate deficiencies, deviations, andQuality concerns.
• Participate in punch walks, inspections, testing activities, and project turnover.
• Provide weekly site observation reports detailing progress, risks, issues, and recommendations.
• Support BIM coordination, mockups, and site validation activities.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, commissioning, and Owner representatives to resolve construction issues.
• Proactively identify project risks and support mitigation planning.
• Establish clear communication and escalation processes among stakeholders.
