Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an On-Site CSA Engineer for a Baton Rouge project, acting as the on-site representative for civil, structural, and architectural disciplines during construction. You will coordinate with Owner, Contractor, and design teams to support construction activities and ensure adherence to contract documents.

Role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10+ years in major projects or 5+ years in hyperscale data centers, plus strong CSA expertise and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Architecture/Construction Management or related field.
• 10+ years in large-scale commercial/industrial/construction projects; or 5+ years in hyperscale data centers.
• Strong CSA systems knowledge and construction standards.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work independently in an active construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site CSA design and construction lead.
• Conduct daily site walks and monitor progress, quality, and constructability.
• Coordinate CSA design issues among field teams and consultants.
• Review field conditions and issue timely design clarifications.
• Support RFIs, submittals, substitutions, and field inquiries.
• Provide weekly site observation reports with risks and recommendations.
• Support BIM coordination and site validation activities.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, commissioning, and Owner reps.
• Identify risks and assist with mitigation planning.
• Establish clear communication and escalation processes.
