Job summary

Jacobs, a leader in engineering and construction, seeks an On-Site CSA Engineer for a Baton Rouge project. You will represent Civil/Structural/Architectural disciplines on-site during construction and coordinate with Owner, Contractor, and design teams to resolve issues per contract documents.

Requirements include a Civil/Structural/Architecture/Construction Mgmt degree and 10+ years in large-scale projects, or 5+ years in hyperscale data centers, plus strong CSA knowledge and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction; or 5+ years in hyperscale data centers.
• Strong understanding of CSA systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in an active construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for CSA-related design and construction matters.
• Perform daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, compliance, and constructability.
• Coordinate design issues between field teams and design consultants.
• Evaluate field conditions and facilitate timely design clarifications and revisions.
• Support responses to RFIs, submittals, substitution requests, and field inquiries.
• Review installation activities for conformance with design intent and project specifications.
• Identify and communicate observed deficiencies, deviations, and quality concerns.
• Participate in punch walks, inspections, testing activities, and project turnover efforts.
• Provide weekly site observation reports documenting progress, risks, issues, and recommendations.
• Support BIM coordination efforts, mockups, and site validation activities.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, commissioning, and Owner representatives to resolve construction issues.
• Proactively identify project risks and support mitigation planning.
• Establish clear communication and escalation processes among project stakeholders.
