Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an On-Site CSA Engineer for a project near Baton Rouge, LA. You will act as the on-site representative for civil, structural, and architectural disciplines, coordinating with Owner, Contractor, and design teams throughout construction.

Responsibilities include daily site walks, reviewing drawings and specifications, handling RFIs, and coordinating QA/QC, BIM, and commissioning activities. This role requires a strong independent work ethic and excellent stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management.
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects.
• CSA systems knowledge and industry standards understanding.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site CSA design and construction lead.
• Perform daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, and constructability.
• Coordinate CSA design issues between field teams and design consultants.
• Review field conditions and provide timely design clarifications and revisions.
• Support responses to RFIs, submittals, substitutions, and field inquiries.
• Review installation activities for conformance with design and specs.
• Identify and communicate deficiencies, deviations, and quality concerns.
• Participate in punch walks, inspections, testing, and turnover efforts.
• Provide weekly site observation reports with risks and recommendations.
• Support BIM coordination, mockups, and site validation activities.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, commissioning, and Owner reps to resolve issues.
• Proactively identify project risks and assist mitigation planning.
• Establish clear communication and escalation processes among stakeholders.
