Job summary

The Publish Press in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time Creative Manager who will work directly with the creator and Creative Director. You’ll own the post-production workflow, edit shorts from start to finish, and coordinate with freelance editors while shaping storytelling and pacing.

You must be an editor yourself, proficient in Final Cut Pro and/or Premiere Pro, with strong project-management skills and a love for YouTube culture. Join a small, growing team.

Qualifications

• Strong video editing skills with a sharp sense of pacing and storytelling.
• Experience with Final Cut Pro and/or Premiere Pro.
• Strong project-management skills and the ability to manage multiple videos simultaneously.
• Experience with Photoshop for graphics and assets.
• Comfort receiving direct creative feedback and iterating quickly.
• A genuine love of YouTube and understanding what makes great videos work.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the post-production workflow for multiple videos at once.
• Keep videos moving through rough cuts, revisions, story edits, polish, and final upload.
• Coordinate with freelance editors and ensure they have what they need.
• Communicate deadlines, feedback, priorities, and creative direction to editors.
• Track revisions and ensure feedback is implemented.
• Keep footage, project files, graphics, music, and assets organized.
• Keep the Creative Director informed on status and surface needs for input.
• Maintain organized project files, storage, backups, and asset libraries.
