Job summary

Subject is seeking a talented Long Form Post Production Editor to join our rapidly growing education technology team in Austin, TX. You’ll transform podcasts, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage into compelling long-form content and craft engaging short-form pieces for multi-platform distribution.

You’ll work closely with our marketing team to optimize storytelling, pacing, and thumbnails, aiming to drive audience growth and retention across YouTube.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional video editing experience.
• Willing to commit to 70+ hours per week to build something great and move fast.
• Portfolio, demo reel, or examples of edited content required; email Hollie Sterling.
• Willing to complete a paid editing exercise during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Edit and deliver 2-4 long-form YouTube videos per week.
• Craft engaging stories with strong pacing, seamless transitions, and high viewer retention.
• Identify high-impact moments from raw footage to create compelling hooks and intros.
• Structure videos to maximize watch time, audience engagement, and subscriber growth.
• Incorporate graphics, B-roll, music, sound design, and motion elements to elevate production quality.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on thumbnails, titles, and overall YouTube strategy.
• Review YouTube analytics and recommend ways to improve watch time, retention, click‑through rate, and channel performance.
• Organize project files and maintain an efficient post-production workflow.
