Neal R. Gross and Co. is seeking experienced Court Reporters to work on a contract basis at client sites nationwide, in person.

You will operate shorthand and digital capture equipment, transcribe verbatim proceedings, and travel to courts, depositions, and hearings, ensuring accurate records. Candidates must have prior court reporting experience, pass security screenings for access to government facilities, be punctual, tech‑savvy, and able to work independently.

Qualificações

• 1+ years working as a Court Reporter.
• Must have excellent English language skills.
• Ability to pass security screening for access to client sites.
• Reliable, punctual and deadline-oriented.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient with technology and equipment setup.
• Ability to work independently.
• Certification in NCRA, AAERT, or NVRA preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Takes down the proceeding using Machine Shorthand, Voice, or Digital capture
• Capture verbatim proceedings of courts, meetings, depositions, and hearings
• Administer oaths and participate in depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings
• Transport, set up, and operate equipment to capture the record accurately
• Perform advance preparation for assignments, including building job worksheets, reviewing case information, and ensuring proper hardware setup
• Ensure all exhibits are secured, proper file backups are performed, and required worksheets are completed and uploaded at the close of the proceeding
• Maintain all required reports and logs and respond promptly to communications
• Represent NRGCO professionally in all proceedings and interactions
• Interact with high-level clients (Federal Govt, State Govt, Private Industry)
