Job summary

Addison Group seeks a Cost Analyst / Staff Accountant for an established Reston, VA organization. This role will support general ledger accounting, cost accounting, inventory, fixed assets, and financial analysis with close collaboration to the Controller and business partners.

The position is on-site and full-time, with potential for limited work-from-home after six months. CPA/certification not required but cost accounting exp is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Strong general ledger accounting experience required.
• Experience with month‑end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP; cost accounting experience preferred.
• Inventory accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger accounts and support day‑to‑day accounting activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries and perform reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Support cost accounting activities including variance analysis.
• Collaborate with operations and finance to drive cost savings and efficiency.
