Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises Inc. seeks a Corrosion Control Project Manager to lead coatings, surface prep, and preservation efforts on Naval vessels at Oahu, HI. You will oversee teams, ensure NAVSEA compliance, and manage safety and schedules.

The role requires strong leadership, PM knowledge, and experience with shipboard operations. On-site position with moderate travel and NAVSEA compliance expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field or equivalent corrosion control leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of project management principles; ability to manage risks, budgets, and schedules.
• Familiar with timekeeping, cost reporting, and materials/equipment tracking.
• Has technical background and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of shipyard/Naval Base operations, NAVSEA instructions, and environmental compliance.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to document daily status on an iPad.
• Ability to lead subcontractors/vendors at the site.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams in corrosion control and preservation on naval vessel components and areas using coatings.
• Lead surface preparation for preservation.
• Ensure compliance with NAVSEA standards and job requirements.
• Remove old paint and debris following environmental requirements; may include laser removal.
• Apply coatings per specifications and marine practice.
• Perform brush and roll painting to pass inspections.
• Supervise teams to meet daily goals safely and timely.
• Train crew to use basic tools and equipment properly.
• Multitask and meet critical deadlines.
• Record daily task status and report progress.
