California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation in Monterey is seeking a Correctional Supervising Cook, CF to oversee the delivery and safety of food across the facility, supervise incarcerated staff, and ensure strict sanitation and health standards are met.

The role includes coordinating food items, transport carts, and adherence to posted menus, while training IP crew in cleanliness, tool control, and safety procedures.

• Oversee delivery and accountability of food and supplies to other areas of the institution.
• Maintain sanitation and safety of the work area and equipment.
• Supervise proper arrangement and set-up of food items and transport carts for deliveries to pantries.
• Ensure delivery of all food items to meet posted menu requirements.
• Supervise and train incarcerated person crews in proper sanitation and cleanliness.
• Maintain control of tools and discipline of IPs in the work area.
• Inspect work areas to ensure equipment and conditions comply with Health & Safety Codes.
