Job summary

Fidelity Partners seeks a part-time physician to provide on-site medical care to Adults in Custody at the Federal Correctional Institution Marion Health Services Department. The role includes exams, history reviews, clinical documentation, and treatment planning within BOP guidelines.

Approximately 20 one-hour sessions per week (two days), start November 1, 2026, with a base period and option to extend to 24 months. Credentialing and security screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid license to practice medicine.
• Must possess the knowledge to independently perform physician services.
• Must provide a current resume and copies of education, license, certification, and training.
• Must successfully complete Bureau of Prisons credentialing and privileging.
• Must maintain licenses, certifications, and privileges throughout.
• Must satisfy BOP/DOJ background screening and institutional access requirements.
• Must provide on-site care in a correctional healthcare environment and comply with security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site medical care to Adults in Custody at FCI Marion Health Services Department.
• Perform complete physical examinations and obtain medical histories.
• Document clinical findings and update the electronic medical record.
• Evaluate symptoms, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Order tests and review results as indicated.
• Prescribe treatment and medications within privileges.
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
• Communicate findings and follow-up instructions to patients.
