Job summary

Fidelity Partners seeks a physician for on-site services at FCI Marion Health Services Department. The position is a part-time/AS-NEEDED contractor with W-2 through Fidelity Partners, approximately 20 one-hour sessions weekly over two days. Start planned November 1, 2026, for up to 24 months total with a fixed hourly rate of $126.46.

Work is on-site in Marion, IL; no routine telework. Requires active medical license, BOP/DOJ credentialing, and successful background screening.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid license to practice medicine.
• Must independently perform the required physician services.
• Must provide current resume and copies of education, license, certification.
• Must complete BOP credentialing and privileging before providing clinical services.
• Must maintain all licenses, credentials, and privileges throughout performance.
• Must satisfy BOP/DOJ background screening and institutional access requirements.
• Must provide on-site care in a correctional healthcare environment and comply with security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house medical care to Adults in Custody within the FCI Marion Health Services Department.
• Perform complete physical examinations and obtain comprehensive medical and social histories.
• Conduct physical assessments and document clinical findings.
• Evaluate symptoms, diagnose medical conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Order diagnostic tests and review results as clinically indicated.
• Prescribe or provide appropriate treatment and medications within applicable scope and privileges.
• Refer patients to specialists and community hospitals when medically necessary.
• Communicate clinical findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions to patients as appropriate.
• Complete all required electronic medical record documentation by the end of the workday.
• Comply with Bureau of Prisons Health Services policies, professional standards, and institutional procedures.
• Protect patient information and comply with Privacy Act and confidentiality requirements.
• Follow correctional security, movement, access, and safety requirements.
