Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Mental Health Provider (LCSW, LPC, LMHP) in CA.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience (correctional, forensic, or inpatient preferred).
• Experience conducting assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, including suicide prevention.
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with EHR.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for incarcerated individuals.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans with the care team.
• Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based interventions.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Perform crisis intervention and suicide risk assessments.
• Maintain compliant clinical documentation per regulations.
• Collaborate with medical staff and correctional officers for safe patient care.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and discharge planning.
• Ensure compliance with correctional healthcare policies.
• Provide psychoeducation on mental health and medication adherence.
• Coordinate continuity of care with community providers upon release.
