Job summary

Converge Resources, Inc. is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to act as a technical lead for complex industrial automation projects in Central Oregon. This in-person role guides PLC/HMI delivery, mentors engineers, and maintains strong customer relationships on-site.

The role covers system development, testing, commissioning, and ongoing support across multiple platforms and industries. Travel to customer sites is required for commissioning and support, with a focus on delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Extensive industrial controls engineering experience (10–15 yrs target).
• Strong hands-on experience with 2+ PLC platforms (Rockwell/Siemens/Schneider).
• 3+ HMI/SCADA platforms (FactoryTalk View, Ignition, AVEVA, iFIX, VTScada).
• Experience mentoring engineers and directing technical work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of PLC, HMI, and control system projects.
• Develop complete PLC programs and review for others.
• Create and review reusable code like UDTs and AOIs.
• Oversee HMI applications, graphics, templates, historians, and reporting.
