Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. seeks a Controls & Automation Engineer on-site at Oak Creek. You will design control architectures, program PLCs, troubleshoot, and integrate automation across manufacturing processes to improve safety, efficiency, and plant performance.

You will lead commissioning, modernization, and technology upgrades while collaborating with production teams, vendors, and contractors. A strong background in Rockwell platforms and industrial networks is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation or related field is required.
5+ years of experience in industrial automation and manufacturing operations.
Strong PLC/hmi/networking and control system integration knowledge.
Experience leading automation projects and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design, program, integrate, and maintain control systems for manufacturing and process automation.
Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC, HMI, VFD, sensor and network systems.
Lead commissioning, startup, validation, and continuous improvement to reduce downtime and boost safety.
