Job summary

Capgemini Engineering seeks an experienced Controls & Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize industrial automation and OT solutions in modern manufacturing. You will program Rockwell PLCs, configure Kepware, and ensure secure OT connectivity across PLCs, SCADA, MES, and enterprise platforms.

You will collaborate with controls, engineering, operations, and IT to deliver data-driven manufacturing operations, with emphasis on safe, reliable, and scalable solutions and a strong focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/automation engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in industrial controls, automation engineering, or manufacturing integration.
• Experience with Rockwell PLCs and Ladder Logic/Structured Text/FBs.
• Experience configuring Kepware KepserverEX and OPC UA/DA architectures.
• Strong understanding of Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, Profinet, OPC UA/DA, MQTT, REST.
• Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy PLC logic on Rockwell platforms.
• Configure HMI/SCADA apps using FactoryTalk View; integrate motion control.
• Commissioning, startup support, loop tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Manage Kepware data acquisition and OT connectivity.
• Integrate OT data with SCADA, MES, and historian systems.
• Collaborate with IT/OT on network architecture and security.
• Lead root-cause investigations and maintain engineering docs.
