Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Safety Specialist (Core) within the Advanced Facilities Group. You will coordinate field safety programs, conduct site inspections, and lead safety audits across large industrial and data center projects.

Ideal candidates have 0-2 years of construction safety experience, a bachelor's degree in safety/health, and strong knowledge of safety regulations. This role emphasizes collaboration within project teams and maintaining a culture of safety on site.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to run field safety programs on construction sites.
• Proficient in MS Office and safety management systems.
• Knowledge of federal, state, local safety regulations.
• Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement field safety programs for routine construction projects.
• Conduct walk-through inspections to ensure policy compliance.
• Conduct safety audits and document abatement actions for hazards.
• Oversee new hire orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
• Monitor subcontractor safety program implementation on sites.
• Attend project meetings to address safety matters.
• Assist in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate with injured employees for timely return to work.
• Manage site safety committee activities and progress reports.
