WECTEC Staffing Services seeks a Safety Specialist for a 12-month assignment in Easter, TX. You will partner with the Superintendent to identify project risks and work with the Senior Safety Lead to implement safety philosophies and best practices, ensuring a strong safety culture on site.

You will conduct inspections, lead on-site audits, train inspectors, and investigate incidents to drive preventive actions, with a focus on health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 hour credential required.
• First Aid / CPR trained and qualified.
• 5 years of Health & Safety-related experience or a safety degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience using defined processes for managing Health & Safety risks.
• Accident & Incident investigation experience.
• Energy industry experience.
• Safety certifications (HAZWOPER, Asbestos Supervisor, Pipeline/facilities construction) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Identify project risks with the Superintendent of Construction.
• Implement safety philosophies and best practices with Sr. Safety Lead.
• Promote safe work practices among the team.
• Study effectiveness of project safety plans and suggest improvements.
• Provide safety training to inspectors.
• Monitor compliance via on-site audits.
• Investigate incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Develop project injury and near-miss logs.
• Communicate Safety goals to site staff.
• Prepare and submit project safety reports.

OSHA Outreach Instructor
