Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety culture on projects and ensure compliance with safety standards. You’ll drive education, enforce programs, and mentor safety staff across trades to maintain a top-tier safety record on active sites.

The role requires strong communication with field teams and executives, managing multiple priorities, and willingness to extend hours during critical project phases. You will work on-site at busy construction sites in South Carolina.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of construction safety experience or related discipline
• Ability to communicate and influence supervisors, peers, and external partners
• Proof of training and experience in crane, fall protection, excavation, scaffolds, and heavy equipment safety
• Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders from craft workers to executives
• Strength in managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Agile, energetic, data-driven approach to achieving objectives

Responsibilities

• Drive the Clark safety culture on a project
• Oversee safety of employees, trade partners, and the general public
• Enforce safety programs and local, state, and federal standards
• Mentor safety staff and assist in their development
• Identify exposures and recommend corrective action
• Develop and implement project-specific safety programs
• Coordinate with field supervision to include safety measures in planning
• Develop site safety education for personnel and subcontractors
• Lead third-party safety reviews including OSHA
• Educate on safety topics across Clark
• Support corporate initiatives including OSHA alerts and policies
• Recruit top safety talent and retain strong people
• Exceed stakeholder expectations by anticipating needs and goals
