Job summary

RQ Construction, LLC in Saint Marys, GA seeks a Construction Site Safety Officer (SSHO) to manage all jobsite safety for assigned projects, developing and enforcing safety plans in line with EM-385, OSHA regulations, and the project APP. The SSHO works closely with the project team to ensure safe, efficient execution of work and may supervise safety staff.

This is a fully on-site position in Saint Marys; local candidates are preferred, but travel or relocation may be necessary depending on

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, including at least 5 years in a construction safety role at the jobsite level.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour certifications completed within the last 5 years.
• Experience with NAVFAC or USACE and EM 385-1-1 guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and enforce safety plans and procedures per contract requirements and EM-385 standards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal Safety Management System.
• Supervise daily activities of safety staff and coordinate with project team for safe, efficient work.
