Job summary

RQ Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Site Safety Officer (SSHO) to support military construction projects at Kings Bay Naval Base in Saint Mary’s, GA. This on-site role requires EM 385-1-1 compliance and a strong OSHA background to keep job sites safe and productive.

You will work with project teams and subcontractors on NAVFAC/USACE federal projects, hold OSHA 30-hour, CPR/First Aid, and lead accident prevention plans, ensuring compliance with safety management systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience.
• 5+ years of construction safety experience at the jobsite level.
• Experience with NAVFAC, USACE, DoD, or federal construction projects preferred.
• Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations.
• Competent Person training and/or experience in fall protection, excavation/trenching, confined spaces, electrical safety, scaffolding, and PPE.
• Documented safety training averaging 24 hours annually over the past 5 years.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with RMS, QCS, or Viewpoint preferred.

We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Officer (SSHO) to support military construction projects in the Saint Mary's, Georgia area for ongoing work at Kings Bay Naval Base. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional with experience in commercial construction, federal projects, NAVFAC, USACE, DoD construction, EM 385-1-1 compliance, and OSHA regulations. Compensation And Benefits

Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 annually (DOE)
